ORLEN Neptun

Świnoujście Offshore Terminal (ORLEN Neptun II) is a subsidiary of ORLEN Neptun, the competence center for offshore wind energy in the ORLEN Group. ORLEN Neptun is responsible for the development of offshore wind projects.

In 2023, ORLEN Group obtained the final decision of the Minister of Infrastructure to allocate five new locations for the construction of offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea as part of the II phase of offshore wind development in Poland.

Four of the locations are on Ławica Odrzana (cluster E.14), and the fifth is located at Ławica Słupska. Combined their total capacity reaches 5.2 GW. The launch of new offshore wind investments will allow approximately 7 million households to be supplied with green, zero-emission energy.

The most advanced project of ORLEN Neptun - Baltic East - is being prepared for the national capacity auction planned for the end of 2025. The project already has been granted a localisation permit (PSzW) and preliminary conditions for connection to the transmission grid. Geotechnical studies for the project are currently underway, as is the construction of the supply chain and procurement of EPCI package contractors. In the spring of 2025 ORLEN Neptun organised the first Supplier Day for the Baltic East project.
